Scratch game

WALT:make a Scratch game to entertain our siblings.
Today in cybersmart we had three options to do on scratch. One of them was to make a game to entertain one of our younger siblings. As I am an only child I choose that option. It was fun but frustrating when it didn't work how you wanted it to. Here is mine:
Have you used Scratch before and what have you made

The Annunciation

WALT: recognise how Mary responded to God’s call through the angel’s message.

Today we made a Google drawing about the Annunciation.

We had to show how Mary felt when the Angel Gabriel came to her.

Here is mine:

Fake it till you make it!

WALT: tell the difference between hoaxes and reality.

Today I Photoshopped my face onto a fake news story which was really fun.

Is it possible to tell the difference?

All about Saint Joan of Arc!

 WALT: research attributes of saints.

Today my friend and I researched Joan of Arc.

It was kind of hard to find information but also fun.

Here is the doc:

Who is your favourite saint and why?

Entertaining Eco trip

W.A.L.T: learn how to take care of the environment
Last week Room 1 went to the recycling dump in Bromley to learn about Stewardship.
First we learnt about compositing and what you should put in the compost bin.
Then we went outside and held some worms.
After learnt about worms while doing 3 different rotations.
Those three rotations were: Getting worm castings (worm poop), making worm beds and watering the surrounding plants using worm tea.
It was really fun because I learnt so much.
Do you have your own compost?

The importance of Equity and Equality

W.A.L.A: Equity and Equality
Today in RE we were given a slip of paper with an injury on it, which varied from a cut in your leg to a broken back. These were our supposed injuries. I had a runny nose. Then we had to line up in front of "Doctor" Nick and were given a plaster, even those with a broken back. The situation I just told you about is a representation of equality, but, if the people who broke their back had a cast, the people who had a cut got a band aid and people who had a runny nose got tissues that would be equity. Do you think, in this situation it would be better to use equality or equity?
