S.T.E.M
W.A.L.T to try and make a marble run using only 6 rolls and sticky tape and scissors. Today in STEM we had to make marble run. My group is Paige, Reggie, me and Max. It was challenging sometimes because our group ran away and didn't help us (me and Paige). It went well because after some mucking around we finally worked together. Next time I think we could stay together. This is ours. Have you made a marble run before?

S.T.E.M.
W.A.L.T to make a boat float. At STEM today we had to make a boat float. We were able to make it float. We got sticks from the Domain and tied them together with string. Then made a sail by tying leaves onto a stick. Next time we should stick together because we kept on running away from each other. Do you like sceince experiments?
Perfect poster
One of the tasks for the mapmakers race was to create a poster encoraging people to read the mapmakers race. This is mine. I did it on sumo paint.

Super Sand Dunes!
We are learning to care for our earth. Today we went down to the beach to learn about sand dunes. Sand dunes are very important because they help protect us from they wind. Sand dunes also protect us from storms. When people walk over the sand dunes it destroys them. The lady who told us this was called Cecilia. She worked with the city council. We made our own mini sand dune, complete with walkways and fences. It had to be knee high and arms length. Sand dunes are formed when the tide push's the sand into a pile. There are different types of grass and animals on the dunes. The grass are called Marrum and golden grass. Some animals that live in the sand dunes are the sand hoppers and the rare katipo spider. Do you care for the earth?

All Saints Day
For Religious Education we have been learning about All Saints Day. All Saints Day is a day where we celebrate all the saints that have gone to heaven. Everyone is obliged to go to mass on that day. Who is your favourite saint?
