Easter Sunday - Luke 24:1-49

W.A.L.T answer questions using the coloured hats.
Today in RE we did a poster about what happened in Easter Sunday with the help from the coloured hats. The hats are: White (5 w's), Red (emotions), black (negatives), yellow(positive), Green (alternatives) and blue (summarising). It was hard thinking of the Red hat. Here it is:

Do you celebrate Easter Sunday?

Capture the flag rules

W.A.L.T write an explanation. Today we wrote an explanation on the game Capture the Flag. Here it is:

Capture the Flag

Capture the flag is a game that's been around for awhile and whether you play with balls or flags the game is still fun.

Set up

To play Capture the Flag you will need two balls (or flags), cones and enough players for equal teams. First, set up the cones in a large square with a line down the middle. Put cones in a small square on either side of the and then put the ball (or flag) in that square. Split the players into even teams and make sure the referee has a whistle.

Rules

As soon as you step over to the other team's side you can get tagged. If you get tagged you bob down and wait for someone to rescue you. You can’t get tagged if you are being rescued. To win you must get the ball from the opposite teams square and bring it back to yours. You can’t be tagged in the balls square. If you have the ball the opposite team can tag you whether on your side or not. If you drop the ball you must return it to its respective square.

Now that you know the rules I hope you enjoy playing.

I did it first in my books and then on google docs.
Can you think of some strategies?

Palm Sunday

W.A.L.T make an animation about Palm Sunday. Over the past couple of days my friend Lily-Rose and I have been making an animation on Biteable about Palm Sunday. Here it is:

It was super simple but sometimes it would be kinda slow.
Have you used Biteable before?

F.A.I.L - First attempt at learning

W.A.L about persistence. Today we had to make a Google draw showing someone failing and someone succeeding as we are learning about the acronym F.A.I.L which stands for first attempt at learning. Here is my poster:

I used Flaticon.

What did you have to persist at to get better at?

Peter and the Wolf

WALT reflecting and sharing experiences that we have had.

On Thursday we went to the town hall to see the NZSO(New Zealand symphony orchestra) perform "Peter and the Wolf." My favourite part was hearing the harmonies the music made. My favourite instrument was the clarinet because of the interesting sound it made. I felt curious when it played the low notes. Peter and the Wolf is actually a Disney story so here it is:

Do you play an instrument?

Comic about the Purpose of a blog

WALT explaining the purpose of a blog.

Today we are explaining the purpose of a blog. My friend Lily-Rose and I made a comic explaining this. We finally finished it.

We got the characters using flat icon and the rest was on Google Draw.

It wasn't to hard to do but the time limit was a little unfair at only 20 minutes

What do you think the purpose of a blog is?
